GLIMPSE OF RAJASTHAN
Hello Guys.
Welcome Back to The New Blog.
Hope You Guys are doing absolutely well.
Today the blog is about My Visit to the regions of Rajasthan during my last year of Diploma in the year 2013. There are three major places which I visited in Rajasthan
1)MOUNT ABU
2)UDAIPUR
3)CHITTORGARH
We went there by Bus as
of all arrangement made by our college as it was a college trip. This tour is a combined tour of 5 days which
consist of Gujarat & Rajasthan But in this blog I will only share about the
Rajasthan & a new dedicated Blog will be published on the blog channel
about the places in Gujarat. We routed from Nasik-Saputara-Baroda-Ghandinagar-Ambaji-Mount
Abu. Yes, we visited all this places and then on the 4th day we went
to the Mount Abu.
MOUNT
ABU
Mount Abu is a Very
Wonderful & Amazing Place to Explore. It was well situated on the top of
the huge mountain. The height of the mount Abu is nearly 5500 ft. approx. As
the height of the mountain people are not permitted to take their vehicles on
the top at certain height the base is made to part the private vehicles and
from there we have to hire the Local Jeep from the Base at 80/100 Indian rupee
per person. Which include the entire site seeing and the travel charges.
SHIV TEMPLE
The first point we visited
is Shiv Temple which is hardly a 10 minute ride from the Base. The temple was built
in the 15th century. The construction of temple is very Massive
.Also the speciality of the place is that the whole temple (INSIDE) was
situated on just Six Huge pillar. The Carving along the wall was very interesting
and Every Carving has its own important and secret message according to our
Guide. Unfortunately the camera was not allowed so we cannot click the photo of
such a massive structure and the great architecture of 15th century.
GURU SHIKAR
It takes us another 20
minutes ride to reach guru shikar. The guru shikar is the top most place of the
region of Mount Abu. As the name Describe Guru Shikar mean Head of all
mountains. There we have to take some stair to reach there after reaching the
base of guru shikar. There is the small temple of lord “DATTA”. Also there is a
Huge “GHANTA (Bell)” near the Temple. As per their belief that if you keep your
wish in the mind and rang bell for three times then your wish might get
completed (Just Good to know stuff).
GURU SHIKAR |
Also there are some
local people present there which of them have stall of the rajasthani dresses
and some costume of various King along with the accessories and there people
use to wear those thing took their nice snapshot. They rent those dresses for
just 30/40indian rupee as per the accessories you offer them for. The most
loveable thing I found out there is the “KHATWADI STICK” with nice rajasthani
design on it.
The view from the guru
shikar is mind blowing as it was situated on the top every little thing is been
visible from there. The huge valley along the side of the guru shikar is full
of the various flowers. We also found out the nice view of “Brahma kumari world
spiritual university”. Which is also known as the “OM SHANTI”? Where the some
trainer teaches how to deal with various problem of life and & to devote
the Almighty God “OM”.
Jain Temple
From there we visited
the Jain temple the whole temple is been carved in the white Marble. The architecture
of the temple is been inspired by the horse chariot.
JAIN TEMPLE |
There is a carved idol of god and goddess on the temple in the white marble. The structure of the temple is built in the 16th century. But the photography is not allowed inside the temple.
By 2 O’ clock in the
afternoon we have completed our site seeing at mount Abu and also we have done
our lunch now it’s time for us to say good bye to the beautiful mountains of
mount Abu and proceed towards the “CITY OF LAKES” i.e. “UDAIPUR”. We reached
the hotel by 8 O’ Clock in the Evening. We all went to our respective hotel
room and then went down stair for our beautiful dinner arrange in a buffet.
I specially want to
suggest the “LAL GHOS” which is the special Mutton Dish from the region of
Udaipur. This is the spiciest dish I Ever had in Mutton. And the spices are very
well balanced and the smoked flavoured take that dish to the next level.
On the very next day
the provided us the Breakfast of the special Rajasthani dishes which include
the “Kachori” & “Churma Laddu”. Then we left for our sightseeing in the
city of Udaipur

The fort is situated at centre of the chittorgarh city. As we climb the fort as it was situated at a great height from the ground so we hire rickshaws and then we went up. While climbing there are seven doors in between the base and the main entrance of the fort as to safeguard the fort from enemies. This fort is a Capital of Mewar. This fort is situated in the 650 Acers of Land. Also it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
